Our company name is based on the first three letters of TAIwan and KANsas.

Founded in 1976, in an apartment complex in Lawrence, Kansas, Taikan began as a small family business to provide the emerging CATV community customized passive products. 

Our initial product line included small house splitters and directional taps that were manufactured and tested in-house.  Since the beginning, Taikan has strived to customize our products and services to meet our customer's needs. 

Subsequently, Taikan has provided hardware solutions to the cable television and broadband industry.  Taikan has worked to develop the necessary equipments for today's broadband markets.

Today, we have built on our past experience to develop new products that include optical receivers and house amplifiers.  As the demand for broadband equipments has grown, Taikan has expanded accordingly to provide the necessary product lines.

With immediate access to manufacturing and research facilities overseas, Taikan can provide our present and future customers faster development of products to market at better competitive prices. 

Although we have grown dramatically, our commitment to our customers has not changed; we have only given our customers more options and flexibility.
